Lauren Shantall

Lauren Shantall paints in movement and colour ~ plant life, domestic worlds and a loose, immediate hand bright enough to pull a room awake.

Durban-born and Cape Town-based since 1995, Lauren works in acrylics on canvas, moving between the minutiae of domestic life and the natural landscape just beyond her home.

She paints alongside a full-time communications career ~ she founded Scout PR & Social Media ~ with an ongoing fascination for plants, trees and flowers running through the work.
